We really did not have a good experience with your canine nutritionist. The steps described in what you purchase is not what we got. We had one 15 min chat where Martina said she had enough information to go from there. The recipe we got was not well written with poor instructions- some time to outline a few specifics would have helped save several email exchanges (temp to cook meat, how long to cook, did it need to be fully cooked to a certain temp etc.) a lot of the supplements were no longer available on the links provided. One product was only available in a different concentration and when I asked how the ingredient needed to be measured out, I got a snippy email back saying to just follow the instructions. Alternative links provided were US only shipping and we are in Canada. I could tell Martina was getting short when communicating via email but I really wanted to do things right for our dog. We never received a follow up either. NOT worth the money.

My dog was experiencing loose stools and vomiting, and our vet suspected he might have IBD or another gastrointestinal issue. I didn't want to use the vet-recommended food, so they referred me to Martina. Ever since I started him on the diet Martina formulated, he has greatly improved—no more vomiting or diarrhea. Martina has been readily available and very helpful in guiding me through meal preparation. When speaking with her, it's clear that she loves animals and is an expert in nutrition, especially for dogs with gastrointestinal issues. I highly recommend her.

My experience with Martina has been excellent. She formulated a recipe for our dog, Eddie that he LOVES! I feel so much better about feeding Eddie real food that is properly balanced and as nutritious as possible, thanks to Martina. She is also so helpful in making any modifications when ingredients aren't available or in order to try something else in the diet. Making your own dog food can sound intimidating but Martina breaks it down into such easy instructions and supports you along the way. Would recommend her many times over!

We found The Healthy Barker online when our bichon, Teddy, developed calcium oxalate crystals in his urine. Not wanting him to develop bladder stones which can be prevalent in bichons, we were frantic to find a healthy, quality dogfood that targeted this specific condition. None could be found just for calcium oxalate stones. Fortunately, we found Martina! She developed a special recipe specifically made for Teddy. We were able to buy all the ingredients here in the US and make it ourselves with her support. Teddy not only loved the food, but the calcium oxalate crystals in each subsequent urinalysis quickly became less and less--until they were completely gone.
